Education Secretary Jesli Lapus said that classes at all levels in public and private schools in Metro Manila will remain suspended until Wednesday. The Department of Education will leave it to local government units to decide when to lift the suspension on classes. The local officials in Marikina City already decided to suspend classes until Friday.
A lot of public schools have been used as an evacuation center so classes still can’t resume. This long weekend is also a good time for the students to help the victims by being a volunteer or sharing something they have.
I'm sure students are having mixed feelings because while it affords them extra time away from rigorous school activities, the surrounding circumstance is very sad.=( Let's all pray for those affected and help in any small way we can.
